Race Across Malaysia: A Journey of Fun, Culture and Friendship

Organised by the MUFY (Monash University Foundation Year) Student Committee, Race Across Malaysia was held in the spirit of the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, bringing MUFY students together for an exciting journey through Malaysia’s diverse cultures and iconic locations.

Participants kicked off the event with an icebreaker and a Malaysian culture trivia session before embarking on a series of interactive challenges inspired by locations across Malaysia, including Sarawak, Penang, Kedah, Malacca and Kuala Lumpur. From rescuing endangered animals and managing a simulated hawker stall to solving escape-room puzzles and building the Petronas Twin Towers, each station tested students’ teamwork, creativity, communication and strategic thinking.

With plenty of laughter, friendly competition and opportunities to meet new people, the event brought together students from the January and July intakes, fostering new friendships and strengthening the MUFY community. Race Across Malaysia was a memorable adventure for all involved!
