Snap for Paws: Making a Difference for Animals in Need

From 4 to 6 August 2026, the MUFY Student Committee (MUFYSC) brought the campus community together for “Snap for Paws”, a fundraising initiative in support of the PAWS Animal Welfare Society.

Held at the Sunway University Foyer, the initiative featured fun and interactive photobooths with animal cutouts, stickers and collectible Polaroid prints. It received generous support from MUFY students, as well as students and staff from Sunway College and Sunway University.

The donation drive raised RM5,000, which was donated to PAWS to support shelter maintenance, veterinary care and rescue operations.

As part of the initiative, MUFYSC members also visited the PAWS shelter to hand over donated items and spend time with the rescued animals. The visit gave students a first-hand look at the work involved in caring for rescued animals and a meaningful opportunity to see how their contributions can make a difference, while fostering empathy, teamwork and social responsibility.
