Business Negotiation Workshop by VU Postgraduate Programme

The Victoria University (VU) Postgraduate Programme at Sunway conducted a Business Negotiation workshop for VU Business Club (VUBC) members on 11^th November 2017, as part of the undergraduate outreach initiatives. The interactive workshop was facilitated by the Director of VU Postgraduate programme, Dr. Hendry Ng, and three business coaches – Ms Grace, Ms Poh Lin and Ms Ling Ling. The business coaches are VU MBA alumni with comprehensive experience in investment banking and business development field.

Students were divided into groups for role playing and the negotiation process was guided by business coaches to resolve conflicts between parties involved effectively. Each party has their individual interests to protect, students are required to negotiate to maintain their interest, but at the same time to achieve a win-win-win solution to the negotiation.

Real business scenarios were explored and discussed with students to provide them a better understanding of current business issues, so as to prepare the students for the business world. More business workshops for Sunway students are being planned for future cohorts.
