Explore Medicine Offers Sunway College Students a Glimpse into the Medical Profession

What does it really take to become a doctor? At Explore Medicine, aspiring Pre-University students had the opportunity to hear directly from experienced medical professionals about the realities of pursuing a career in medicine.

Jointly organised by Career Services and the Jeffrey Cheah Sunway Medical School, the event opened with an introduction to the Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme by Prof. Raja Affendi Raja Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences. This was followed by a panel discussion, a signature feature of the Explore series, moderated by Mr Amin, AUSMAT Biology Lecturer.

The panellists shared candid insights into the challenges, responsibilities and rewards of a medical career, offering students a deeper understanding of what it takes to pursue this path.

Our heartfelt thanks to the distinguished panellists, Prof. Arkendu Sen, Prof. Dr. Roslina Manap, Prof. Dr. Cheah Fook Choe, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Fitzjerald Herry and Assoc. Prof. Mohd Nasri Awang Besar, for sharing their experiences and advice, and inspiring the next generation of aspiring doctors.
