A-Level of Great Achievement
Two students were awarded first place and received the Best Across titles for their exceptional performance in the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). Best Across awards go to learners who have achieved an A grade and attained the first highest cumulative total standard marks over a set number of subjects.
Tan Hong Jun received the ‘Best Across Three’ award for the Cambridge International A Level and achieved ‘Top in Malaysia’ for Further Mathematics.
Awarded the ‘Best Across Four’ for the Cambridge International AS Level was Fu Chuan Zhe, who also achieved the ‘Top in the World’ for both Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
“I’m very honoured to receive the awards. The past few years have been challenging for everyone, and it’s very heart-warming to see how everyone has excelled despite the hardships we faced. I’m grateful for my lecturers, family and friends who have supported me throughout my journey,” shared Chuan Zhe.
The other ‘Top of the World’ recipients, scoring excellent marks in Mathematics, were Caitlin Kua Jie Xin, Ng Wai Hoe, Pe Hao Jie, Qi Junxiang, Tan Juin, Lucius Khor Zhe Yi, Michelle Teo Zhi Yee and Tan Ping.
Other recipients of the ‘Top of the World’ titles were Mah Hoew Yang for Biology; Stephanie Tee Kay Anne for Literature in English; Ang Pei Ping for Chemistry; Lee Ming Jie and Ng Jia Qi for Economics.
Receiving the High Achievement awards were Cheong Rong Jet for the English Language; Wesley Pu Chern Hsiong for History; and Ong Heyang for Thinking Skills.
Meanwhile, receiving the ‘Top in Malaysia’ awards were Aaron Kan Wai Hoong and Chloe Tan Jia Yi for Accounting; Lim Jing and Ng Wai Hoe for Chemistry; Tan Jing for Economics; Lim Jing and Patrick Yee Tang Young for Psychology; and Ang Pei Ping for Biology.
Caitlin, who was awarded the ‘Top in Malaysia’ for Physics, shared that the A-Level science subject provides a well-rounded programme structure, with a syllabus covering a wide range of topics.
“The outstanding achievements of Sunway A-Level scholars are extremely impressive. This is made possible by our lecturers’ years of experience who are willing to go beyond boundaries to assist and prep their students,” shared Ruth Cheah, the Director of Cambridge A-Level programme, Sunway College.
