AUSMAT Celebrates Student Excellence with the Government of Western Australia

The Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) programme recently hosted a Celebration of Excellence to recognise the outstanding achievements of our students and strengthen our partnership with the Government of Western Australia.

We were honoured to welcome Ms Betty Yang, Investment and Trade Commissioner ASEAN, together with Mr Adil Akbar and Ms Kar-Yee Ong from the Western Australia Government.

A key highlight was the moderated conversation led by Mr Oliver Kee, featuring Celine Chiew, recipient of the prestigious Western Australian Premier’s WACE Scholarship, and Team Urban Miner, Denise Kua, Nelson Ng and Victoria Tan, Gold Medal winners of the Western Australia Student Startup and Innovation Challenge.

The students shared their journeys, challenges and valuable lessons, while Ms Betty Yang offered insights on studying in Western Australia, innovation and embracing global opportunities. The event also celebrated AUSMAT’s continued success, including winning the Startup and Innovation Challenge for two consecutive years.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Western Australia Government representatives, Prof Mien, Ms Vanitha, lecturers, Student Council members, parents, and all teams who contributed to the event.
