Explore Tech: Discovering Opportunities in the Technology Industry

What does it take to build a career in technology, and what opportunities await those interested in this fast-evolving industry? These were among the questions explored at the Explore Tech Forum, jointly organised by Sunway Career Services and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in August 2026.

The forum brought together aspiring Pre-University students from Sunway College and industry professionals for an engaging panel discussion on emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Cybersecurity and Robotics.

Beyond exploring these fields, students gained firsthand perspectives on the evolving technology landscape, the challenges professionals encounter and the skills needed to navigate an industry shaped by constant innovation. The discussion also offered a glimpse into the diverse career pathways available to those pursuing technology-related fields.

Our heartfelt thanks to the distinguished panellists, Siew Kian Ng from Hilti Asia IT Services, Christensen Choong from Huawei, Boon Nee Yang from WD and Ahmad Hadri Haris from Tesla, for sharing their professional experiences and valuable advice with our aspiring tech talents.
