From Campus to CEO: No Filters. No Formula. Just the Real Journey

The Management and Marketing Committee successfully organised an inspiring entrepreneurial talk show titled “From Campus to CEO: No Filters. No Formula. Just the Real Journey,” attended by 160 students, staff, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The talk aimed to expose students to real-world entrepreneurial experiences, bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice, and inspire future entrepreneurs through authentic sharing by industry leaders.

The event featured engaging sharing sessions by Kavievanan Subramaniam, Founder of Tea Thambi Sdn Bhd; Rana Zid, Founder of Alnefre by Rana Cosmetics; and Jan Wong, Founder and CEO of OpenMinds Group, who shared authentic insights into entrepreneurship, innovation, business growth, and the challenges of building successful ventures.

The session was moderated by Steve Lam, while opening remarks were delivered by Jason Cheok, Director of the VU Programme, in the presence of Shio Hui Samantha Liew, Deputy Director.

Organised under the leadership of Rasika Lawrence, with support from Manmeet Kaur, Alvin, and Mastura Basri, the event provided valuable industry exposure and meaningful takeaways on resilience, networking, and strategic decision-making, making it a highly impactful and memorable session for all participants.
