Inspiring Future Accountants Through School Engagements

Representatives from Sunway TES College Johor Bahru conducted a series of outreach initiatives to introduce secondary school students to pathways in professional accounting. Talks were held at SMK Jalan Mengkibol, SMK Jalan Kota Tinggi, and SMK Taman Kluang Barat, where students were given an overview of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification and the programmes offered at the college. The sessions aimed to inspire students to explore future opportunities in the accounting profession while gaining a clearer understanding of higher education pathways. Students also engaged actively, asking questions and gaining valuable insights into potential career paths in accounting and finance.

In addition, Sunway TES College Johor Bahru participated in the Jom Explore programme organised by Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera, setting up an information booth at the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) in Kuala Lumpur. The booth provided an opportunity to connect with prospective students and share insights on professional accounting pathways such as ACCA. The event served as a valuable platform to raise awareness of the college’s programmes while engaging with individuals exploring future professional qualifications.
