• Top-up through eWallets such as GrabPay, Touch & Go, Boost that are linked to the Pals For Life mobile app
• Check printing account balance instantly
• View printing top-up transaction history

The successful roll-out of SprintPals solution is the result of six months’ collaboration work by IT Services and Financial Services together with Sunway Pals and the print vendor. The Sunway Education Group (SEG) project members involved were Ong Kiat Ming (Project Manager), Loo Ooi Meng, Eric Tan Jia Jiunn and Wong Ong Teck from IT Services, and Lim Ming Fung and Goh Yii Jian from Finance Services.

The portal was launched on 20th Oct with Sunway Pals staff on hand to promote and guide students on top-up their printing credit through the Pals For Life mobile app at the Library and IT Learning Labs.

A number of students installed the Pals For Life mobile app to try out the new SprintPals printing credit top-up service. One of the students, Tan Xin Rou said, “This is much more convenient, and I can top-up from anywhere, even when I’m off-campus.”  Students are now able to make printing credit top-up transactions from as low as RM1 up to RM50.

“We have already enabled cashless payments for a few years at our payment counters and merchants on campus,” shared Tony Lee, the Chief Information Officer of SEG. “The SprintPals portal will further extend cashless convenience to the student community. It's easy and secure to use, without the need to carry the right denomination of cash. The use of cashless and eWallets payments in the COVID-19 era with our merchants on campus also translate to less contact with cash and reduce the risk of viral transmission. With cashless channels accepted throughout the Sunway campus, we hope students and staff will be wise and opt for such options.”

Sunway Pals is a fast-growing loyalty programme with over 1.1 million members, Sunway Pals members enjoy a range of privileges when they make property purchases, or spend at the participating Sunway-owned malls, hotels, theme parks, colleges, universities, hospitals and its array of participating merchants plus members get to enjoy the benefits of cashless parking with no surcharge.
