MUFY Teams Excel at Monash Science Cup 2025

On 26 April 2025, the Monash Science Cup returned after a seven-year hiatus, uniting 129 pre-university students in 33 teams under the theme, “Science in Action: Solve, Create, Innovate!”

The event featured three hands-on challenge tracks designed to apply scientific knowledge to real-world issues while offering participants access to advanced lab equipment and engagement with Monash faculty and professional staff.

Team powerpuffs + 1 from Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY), Sunway College KL, emerged as the Champions of the Monash Science Cup 2025, earning RM2,000. Yamong Nadi Aung, Moe Oo Nwe, Thae Thinzar Ko, and Zay Yar Myo Htwe impressed judges with their scientific prowess.

Meanwhile, One of a Kind, also from MUFY Sunway College KL, secured the Second Runner-Up title and RM1,000. The team included Chong Yuek Ferng, Ooi Yan Sheng, Peh Xuan Rui, and Angela Wong Ying Lin.
