Proudly Celebrating: SDS Honours First DDCC Graduates in Prestigious Graduation Ceremony
Sunway Diploma Studies (SDS) concluded 2023 with immense pride, hosting another historic graduation ceremony to celebrate the inaugural graduates of the new program, Diploma in Digital Creative Content (DDCC).
The event, held at Jeffrey Cheah Hall on November 30, was graced by the Executive Director of Sunway College, Professor Teo Ee Sing, and celebrated 360 graduates from various programs under SDS.
In his address, Prof. Teo reminded the graduates that Sunway has not only equipped them with knowledge but has also nurtured the courage and skills to carve unique and impactful paths.
“As you celebrate with your loved ones, take a moment to reflect on the knowledge gained, the friendships formed, and the challenges conquered. Let these experiences be the guiding stars illuminating your path toward a future filled with purpose, impact, and profound fulfilment,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of Sunway Diploma Studies, Puan Adawiah Norli Yusuf stated that the second SDS graduation ceremony of 2023 was special, reflecting the hard work of many parties in achieving full MQA accreditation for the new DDCC program.
“The establishment of the DDCC program and the success in producing today's graduates reflect SDS's commitment to leading with programs that align with technological, entrepreneurial, and educational developments,” she said.
“We are proud to be the pioneer in Malaysia in producing quality graduates in various fields, including our new Digital Creative Content (DDCC) program, to meet the industry needs,” she added.
Moreover, the Head of the Communication and Media Program, Nurzalina Ramli expressed her joy over the recent full MQA accreditation, enabling the first cohort of DDCC to participate in this graduation ceremony.
“As the first Digital Creative Content program in Malaysia, we are proud to celebrate this success without any delay in obtaining MQA approval, allowing our first cohort of students to be celebrated at this graduation.”
“This is a significant milestone for SDS and for digital education in Malaysia. I congratulate all graduates, lecturers, management, and parents. This is our collective success,” she added.
The recent SDS graduation ceremony is the second for 2023, following the April event where 575 graduates from various programs received their scrolls.
Currently, SDS steadfastly offers eight diploma programs and two certificate programs in four main streams: Business Administration, IT & Computer Science, Accounting & Finance, and Communication & Digital Media, catering to nearly 1700 students per academic cycle.
Other than students from the main campus, diploma students from Sunway Velocity campus were also celebrated at this event.
Congratulations to all SDS graduates on your achievements!
