SDS Sparks Collaborative Innovation in Advancing Teaching and Learning Pedagogy

Sunway Diploma Studies (SDS) rejoices in the resounding success of the inaugural Lecture Series on Pedagogical Advancement, held in collaboration with Sunway Business School, Asian Strategy and Leadership Incorporated (ASLI), and Victoria University on 19 February.

The event aimed to enrich teaching methodologies and perspectives across the Sunway Education Group (SEG), attracting enthusiastic participation from various departments and schools, including School of Medical and Life Sciences, School of Arts, Sunway Foundation Programme, Science and Engineering Resources, Sunway University Press, General Studies Department, AUSMAT, Centre for English Language Studies and many more.

According to Head of the Teaching and Learning Unit at SDS, Mr Gobindran Raj Rajagopal, the event demonstrated collaborative triumph, showcasing the best practices in teaching and learning from the Sunway Diploma Studies programmes

"Our first lecture series stands as a testament to the dedication of the Teaching and Learning Committee from Sunway Diploma Studies, providing a platform for educators to exchange their most effective teaching strategies," he emphasized.

Gobind emphasized the importance of lecture series discussions in fostering innovation and improvement in teaching and learning practices, particularly amidst rapid technological advancements like the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.

"In today's dynamic educational landscape, we must cultivate innovative approaches. How do we uncover those 'aha!' moments that ignite our passion for creative and effective teaching and learning," he pondered.

SDS is committed to advancing towards the mission and vision of Sustainable Development Goal SDG-4 for Quality Education through collaborative initiatives like the Lecture Series.
