SDS Students Gain Invaluable Industry Insights During PwC Malaysia Visit

Sunway Diploma Studies (SDS) students from the Diploma in Accounting programme embarked on an enriching visit to PwC Malaysia, last month.

The primary objective of the trip was to offer students a deeper understanding of the accounting and auditing industry, as well as expose them to career opportunities within one of the top global professional services firms.

According to the lecturer, Ms. Nurazeera Md Suder, students had the chance to engage with professionals from PwC, who shared their expertise and provided valuable insights into the firm’s operations.

“The sessions covered topics such as the role of auditors in maintaining financial integrity, industry best practices, and the various services PwC offers in assurance, advisory, and tax.”

“This first-hand knowledge is essential for shaping the students into competent professionals as they progress in their studies and careers,” she said.

The experience also featured perspectives from PwC recruiters on career-related advice, including tips for building a strong resume.

Additionally, PwC staff provided an overview of the firm’s growth opportunities and its commitment to fostering young talent, further inspiring the students to excel in their studies.

The trip concluded with an office tour, where students could witness the dynamic environment of a leading accounting firm in action.
