Students Explore Study and Career Pathways at Sunway TES College JB

Students from schools across Johor recently visited Sunway TES College Johor Bahru for a series of revision workshops designed to support their academic preparation while giving them a glimpse into the opportunities beyond secondary school.

The SPM Revision Workshops welcomed students from SMK Mutiara Rini, SMK Taman Bukit Indah, SMK(P) Sultan Ibrahim and SMK Infant Jesus Convent, as well as SMK Taman Pelangi Indah and SMK Ulu Tiram. The workshops featured focused revision sessions in English, Mathematics and Accounting, giving participants dedicated time to reinforce their understanding of key subjects ahead of their examinations.

Beyond the classroom, the workshops also introduced students to perspectives from the education and professional sectors. Participants from the first group took part in sharing sessions by EY and Sunway TES JB students, gaining insights into academic preparation, career pathways and the experiences of students pursuing further studies.

The second group also had the opportunity to hear from the professional accounting community through an online briefing by ICAEW and a sharing session by PwC. These sessions offered a glimpse into the opportunities available in accounting and business, while helping students connect what they learn in school with potential pathways after SPM.

Together, the workshops provided a balance of academic preparation and exposure beyond the classroom, giving students a broader perspective as they consider their next steps after SPM.
