Sunway College Ipoh Celebrates 13th Graduation & Awards Ceremony

Sunway College Ipoh proudly hosted its 13th Graduation and Awards Ceremony on 20 June at Sunway Lost World Hotel’s Malayana Hall. The event marked a meaningful milestone as graduates celebrated the successful completion of their academic journey, surrounded by faculty, staff, distinguished guests, and proud family members. We were honoured to welcome Prof. Cheng Mien Wee, Prof. Lim Weng Marc, Prof. Ir. Denny Ng Kok Sum, Prof. Daniel Chong Ka Leong, and Dr. Wan Nor Haliza Wan Harun, whose presence made the occasion even more memorable. The ceremony recognised not only academic completion but also outstanding student achievements through various awards. Among the award recipients were Aaren Goh Toh Xuan (Platinum Award, Diploma in Business Administration), Ho Een Joe (Diploma in Information Technology), and Sharni A/P Nagalingam (Diploma in Entrepreneurship). The Valedictorian honour was awarded to Chow Jia Gin in recognition of exceptional academic excellence and leadership. In her opening address, Professor Cheng Mien Wee extended her appreciation to the graduates, parents, faculty, and staff for their dedication and collective effort in shaping the success of the graduating cohort. A recorded message from Professor Dato’ Dr. Elizabeth Lee, Sunway Education Group CEO, further encouraged graduates to remain curious, uphold strong values, and continue their pursuit of lifelong learning. In line with Sunway College Ipoh’s continued commitment to delivering future-ready education, the ceremony also marked the introduction of two new academic offerings: the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Studies in collaboration with Sunway University, and the Diploma in Applied Artificial Intelligence. These programmes reflect the College’s ongoing efforts to equip students with relevant knowledge, practical skills, and adaptability in an ever-evolving global landscape. Sunway College Ipoh remains dedicated to nurturing well-rounded graduates who are prepared not only for academic success, but also for meaningful contributions to industry and society.
