Sunway TES College JB Students Give Back Through Community Outreach at AMCC

Students from Sunway TES College Johor Bahru participated in a community outreach visit to AMCC, where they dedicated their time and effort to supporting the home and its residents through hands-on service.

During the visit, students worked together to clean and tidy different areas of the home. Upon arrival, they were assigned specific areas to ensure the cleaning activities were carried out efficiently. Recognising that some elderly residents were bedridden and unable to assist with the upkeep, the students took the initiative to help maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for the residents.

Working in teams, the students remained actively involved throughout the cleaning session, demonstrating their willingness to contribute and support the home. Their efforts were warmly appreciated by AMCC’s caretaker, who expressed her gratitude for the students’ time, dedication and sincerity.

The visit also included the distribution of care packs to the residents, followed by a group photo and lunch to conclude the programme.

More than an opportunity to lend a helping hand, the visit encouraged students to experience the value of community service and giving back. Through their time, teamwork and thoughtful actions, they demonstrated how simple acts of kindness can contribute to a more caring and supportive community.
