VU Entrepreneurship Day 2026 Brings Classroom Learning to Life

Students from the Entrepreneurial Skills class recently put their business knowledge into practice through VU Entrepreneurship Day 2026, a two-day event held at Sunway College Boulevard.
The event saw 65 students work in 10 groups to operate real business booths in collaboration with local businesses, collectively generating close to RM10,000 in sales. Designed to provide hands-on entrepreneurial experience, the initiative allowed students to apply classroom concepts in a real-world business setting.

Throughout the project, students took ownership of every stage of the business process. Their responsibilities included engaging and collaborating with local business partners, negotiating cost prices and consignment arrangements, creating digital marketing content, managing booth operations, interacting with customers, and overseeing sales transactions and cash flow.
Beyond achieving impressive sales results, the event served as a valuable experiential learning platform that enabled students to develop essential entrepreneurial competencies. Through direct exposure to real business challenges and opportunities, students strengthened their communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making skills.

A special congratulations goes to subject lecturer Ms Teh Ya Yee for her guidance and support throughout the students’ entrepreneurial journey. Appreciation is also extended to all participating students, local business partners, staff, and members of the Sunway community whose support contributed to the success of the event.
VU Entrepreneurship Day 2026 exemplifies Sunway College’s commitment to providing industry-relevant, experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for success beyond the classroom.
