Sunway Student Wins National Level Toastmasters Humourous Speech Contest
The Sunway University Toastmasters Club is proud to announce that one of our students, Mirosha Somasundram won the District 102 Toastmasters Humourous Speech Competiton. The tournament was held on the 12th of November 2017 at the University of Notthingham, Malaysia.
Despite her apprehension, Mirosha stood her ground against many seasoned speakers from all over Malaysia and she came out on top, cementing her reputation as one of the best speakers in the country. In addition, she also won the Asian English Olympics Speech Competition in 2016 where she emerged as one of the best speakers in Asia.
Although Mirosha is no longer with the Sunway University Toastmasters Club, she is still a part-time student of the university studying in the ICAEW programme and she is currently working with KPMG. She credits the teacher advisors and members of the Sunway University Toastmasters Club for their role in guiding her into who the speaker she is today.
Congratulations Mirosha and let us celebrate your achievement together.
